LOL My mom has said that to me on numerous occasions.

yeah, usually when she was beating me about the head and shoulders for committing the heinous crime of spilling my water glass (oh no, never could have anything tasty like juice or milk). And it was always in public somewhere, or somebody's house.
My thoughts on it are: it seems my crime of spilling water wasn't nearly as destructive as her screeching "you've ruined it for everyone" at the top of her lungs as she hit me. Seems that was more of a scene that people would be less likely to recover from?

I remember being on the receiving end of a lot of those as part of a class in school, it seemed I was always in the class 'responsible' for 'ruining' something or other.

My father used to say that to one of us on the holidays. Seemed as if my sister got zinged more often than not.

Yep sure did everytime a family outing or vacation was cancelled because I did something wrong.

lol yes my mam, and the funny thing is i've said it to my son a couple of times. I sound more like her every day.

yeah, people always seem to get pissed over the stupidist things. can i help it if i set the sprinklers off smoking pot in the restroom at prom?so funny by the way, maybe cause i was high at the time...
