I don't know who was in it. All I know is that it was about a band of (ex)Confederate soldiers who end up out west. They had a young bugler and a small dog, and I remember the climax being a battle/calvary charge/massacre against some hostile Indians. (most likely Apache) I'd be guessing that it was made in the '50s, but who knows. It could be in color, but I just know it in black and white, from early '60s TV. (It's NOT the one with Rock Hudson - apparently he played an ex-Confederate officer in the post Civil War old west, as well.) I'd love to see it again, if at all possible. If not, I'd really just like to know the title and who was in it.

The Internet Movie Database IMDB is probably the best site to look on. You can search by plot for words like 'confederate' and 'indians' and also narrow the search by year.
