I need your help ladies. Can you help me make-up a game for a baby shower that is not too time consuming, I've looked at all the websites but they will take up too much time. I already have two games, which is the baby bingo (to fill one line and then the whole sheet) I need one more. Let's put our heads together and create a game. Thanks.

I'VE GOT ONE!!!

On my website....there is a game/activitiy that I created (2 of them actually....choose the one you like best!!)

The first one: every guest writes a note to the baby as they come in the door. Once everyone has done this....you draw two (randomly) from the stack and hand out a prize.

The second one: everyone goes around in a circle and tells mommy/daddy what the one thing is that they are most looking forward to about meeting the new little person.

The webpage has better detail.....

OK you need to have cotton balls. Two bowls blind folds and two spoons.

Two people at a time put a blind fold on, you put the cotton balls in the bowl and they have to take the cotton balls out and set them on the table. They have to use the spoon. You time the game, because it is virtually impossible to transfer the cotton balls. They are light and you can't feel them with the spoon in hand.

Also you can get a bunch of dolls are stuffed animals and have everyone race to see who gets the baby changed first. Winner of course gets a price. It will also require newborn diapers.

Put a bunch of objects(stufff for baby) on a tray, have the mother of the baby bring the tray around to everyone. Everyone has a sheet of paper ready. They are suppose to obserb the tray. When mother walks out they think you are going to tell them to tell you what is on the tray, but instead you are going to ask them to describe what the mother was wearing.

Have everyone give parenting advice. This was something I loved about my shower, they went around the room and everyone got to give a bit of info within a reasonable amount of time.

I hope some of this helps.

Give the attendees a blank piece of paper and have them lists songs that have the word "baby" somewhere in the title. That's fun. Also, hand out a baby diaper pin (a safety pin) with a little ribbon attached and pin it to guest's lapels as they arrive. Anytime someone crosses their legs, whoever catches them gets to take their pin. Whoever has the most pins at the end of the party wins a prize. Just two very fun things to do. Also, search "baby shower games" in that "search for questions" window above, I wrote a loooooong list of games a few months ago after my FAB shower. Have fun!

Will men be at this shower because they make the best contestants.

Try to see how fast they can change a diaper. (put some peanut butter in the centre).

Give them a bottle to see who will suck the liquid faster. Add a sour juice (cranberry) to make it harder to swallow

Take a string and ask everyone to guess how wide the mother's belly is.

Put some baby food in plates and ask people to find out what it is by tasting it. Peas, carrots, apple sauce anything that will give people the willies.

There is so many more, but for now I hope this helps.

At my baby shower, we played the Chubby Bunny. It's where a list of baby items is made (i.e. cradle, bottle, binky, crib, etc) or any list of words relating to the shower that you choose. Then each person, one at a time, reads a word with one marshmallow in their mouth. If everyone can guess the word, they put another marshmallow in and read the next word & so on. It sounds goofy, but by the time you get the 4th or 5th marshmellow in there, it's absolutely hilarious! And it's pretty easy to put together; definitely not time consuming.

At my shower last year we played a cute game that didn't take long. Each person was given two piences of bubblicious bubble gum and they had five minutes to mold a "baby" out of it. Each baby was placed on a 3 x 5 card with the name of the "artist" on the back. All the babies were placed on a table and the pregnant mom (me) got to select 3 winners. The winners received little prizes. I thought it was really fun and cute.

Have a diapering contest. Use dolls & old fashioned cloth diapers with pins. This should not take long.

DO NOT play any game where you have to guess how big the "mommy" is using yarn, toilet paper etc. This can be a disaster waiting to happen. I have seen this played & the "mommy" ended up in tears her feelings were so hurt.

Something else that is cheap is to fill a bag with uncooked rice & safety pins. Have people try to find as many as possible in X amount of time-sounds easy but it is not.

put about 3 baby food jars on each table. Put spoons and little plates so they can test the baby food and tell you what the flavor is.. Its very very fun. Just make sure you use 3 hard flavors and not bananas or carrots..Make sure you write down what the flavors are so you don't get mixed up..Also you can buy yarn go to everyone and ask them to cute as much yarn as they would think would fit around the pregnant girls belly. They can either be to long or to short..But make sure to take a piece and measure her stomach first so you won't have to keep putting the strings around her belly. Its also fun.. Also you can buy a baby bottle put little candies or jelly beans in them and ask how much do they think is in there..

do the yarn game. everyone cuts a piece of yarn to guess the size of the pregnant woman's belly. then the pregnant woman cuts a piece of yarn to the exact size of her and measures everyone else's string to hers. the closest match wins the game. or if she doesn't have a name picked out everyone thinks of a name and writes it on a card and why they like it so the pregnant woman can get a few ideas. maybe something she never thought of would come up that she really likes. like an old family name or something. or the pacifier game. every time someone says baby they have to suck on a pacifier for 5 minutes or however long the pregnant woman says they suck on it. good luck!

match the baby animal with the mommie ( cow, calf ect), clothespin game everyone wears one and if you cross your legs someone can take yours whoever has the most at the end wins, fill baby bottle with candy guess how much is inside, fill basket with baby stuff have them look at it for 30 seconds then write what they remember. let them cut a peice of yarn to how big they think the mothers belly is then whoever comes the closest wins
