Contact the SSA right away, make certain that your records are correct and have them change your SS number. It may be identity theft or someone using your SSN because they do not have one.

How long ago did you get your SSN? If you were recently assigned your SSN, it could very well have been that the SSA reassigned a number that was used by someone that died to you. Depending on the person's number who died, you might have run into the situation where the person had an account with the same bank and even though they are deceased, the bank still have that account holder in their records.
You should contact the SSA to let them know.

As everyone else stated, it could be identity theft. There was a case here in Dublin California not too long ago, where a woman interviewing for a job was told that she didn't need to reapply, because she already worked there. Turns out that over 200 people nationwide had been using her identity, and most of those people got it from a flea market in texas for about $30. On top of that, it's wiped out her social security, and the IRS was after her for back taxes.
