listen to the first guy, but be wary that he forgot the + or - in front of all his answers. so for the first one, it could be +i or -i

1.put the letter i and then the square root sign with 1 inside
2.is the same as # 1
3.put the letter i and then the square root sign with 11 inside
you do this because we can simplify the square root of a negative number by taking a negative out and making it an i.

HOPE I CAN HELP IM NOT GOOD IN MATH

1) sqrt(x )+ 4 = 3 ---> sqrt(x) = -1 ---> x = i

...unless what you meant was... sqrt (x+4) = 3 -->x+4=9 ---> x=5

2)
sqrt(4x+1) + 3 = 0
sqrt(4x+1) = -3
4x+1=9
4x=8
x=2

3) sqrt(2y+7)+4=y
sqrt(2y+7)=y-4
2y+7=y^2 - 8y + 16
y^2 - 10y + 9 = 0
(y - 9)(y - 1) = 0
y = 9 or y =1

1. you subtract 4 from each side and get x = -1

I assume you are trying to calculate the square root of x, so this means sqrt(x) = sqrt(-1) = i <--- imaginary number

2. subtract 4 from each side and divide both sides by 4, you get x = -1 again, so sqrt (x) = i

3. here you subtract y from each side and then subtract11 from each side. you get y = -11. So sqrt (y) = sqrt (11) = i*sqrt(11)

1) x=1, so the square root is 1.
2) x=-1, so there is no square root
3) y=-5.5, so there is no square root
