Is it not a little rediculous the impact the opinion of a few bimbos on big brother is having on India/Anglo relations? Though Big Brother is called a reality show it is really a light entertainment and freak show and has no comparison to "real" British culture. Death threats to producers, burning effigies of big brother, families of housemates getting death threats. Is this not a bit of an out of proportion reaction to a few girls bitching?

the media has really played the public extremely well on this one, channel 4 must be having a right laugh at other peoples expense........ when will people realise that BB only show you the bits they want you to see, it is edited to the extreme for the evening one hour show and the live broadcast are 'muted' when they want to save the 'juicy' bits for later or for the video when it comes out

i dont think shilpa is as innocent as she makes out to be, i think she is very minipulative, although i also think that jade is a loud mouth.... but shes always been like that WHY OH WHY do people think she was chosen to go back into the BB house.....

channel 4 have got what they want and thats the publicity and the viewing figures. and that is ALL they are interested in

CBB is a joke, 99% of the people who go into that house are poeple who were once a B list celeb at sometime and now want to try and get a little bit of their fame back or are that skint that they do the show anyway.
As for the question, of course its an over reaction.
The covan of witches have found somone to gang up on all because she is a soft target, Forget the fact that she is Indian that doesn't matter one little bit.
They are bullying her because she is charming, more famous than all of them put together and she is pretty (even without makeup) which can't be said about those three trouts.
Girls will be girls and they will always b1tch about each other as long as there is life on this earth.

No I think it is quite normal for the British public to harp on and on about something insignificant.
If they grew a spine they could go far in the world, but the British spine was flushed down the Big Brother Toilet when Edward the 7th died. Boy George took over and the world was never the same again.

Thank God Muse! I was beginning to think I was alone thinking this. I've never seen such an over the top reaction to a couple of ignorant girls.

There must be people out there desperate to stir things up between Indians and Brits and rubbed their hands when BB came on.

It is a mirror of the fragile relationship between the different races in Britain. Some of the comments made by the four bimbos (including Jack) have been bordering racist.

Yes, it is hugely out of proportion. I think if it had been anybody else it would have been practically ignored but as Shilpa is such a huge star in India it is being made into something that it isn't, something sinister. I really don't think those three girls hate her for her race, they dislike her because she has annoyed them. Simple as that. Now all of this hatred has arisen in the outside world because of it. It's ridiculous!

I totally agree with you. It's a bit too much and a great opportunity for these attention seekers to cry out laud and complain about racism. This show is nothing but some entertainment for couch potatoes. Let's not worry about it too much.

No comparison to British culture ? - unfortunately it is all too close to 'normal' in Britain.
