Black, like white is not a colour, so you can't make it. Light particles make colour. Think of the inside of a box with the lid shut tight so no light gets in - it is black, dark, nothingness - open the box and hey presto! there is light and colour.

There is not a way to make black paint out of other paints because the color of paint you are seeing is just what light particles are picked up by the pigment in the medium you are using. Black paint is usually made by adding some sort of charcoaled substancee into a medium base, whereas even if you mixed all your paint colors together the best you can hope for is a muddy brown to gray color.

What type of paint? there are many types , emulsion, oil based, water based etc.

You won't get a perfect black by mixing paints. You might manage something close by mixing blue and red and then adding a little yellow.

If the result is too green - add red.
If the result is too brown - add blue.
If the result is too purple - add yellow.

Any paint consists of a pigment(colouring matter) suspended in the medium (the liquid component oil, water, sythetic or natural resins) In the case of black paint the pigment is usually carbon black, basically soot!.

When dealing with pigments, you need to mix the complementary colors to get your desired hue. Mix cyan, magenta, and yellow to get black. I will leave the percentages up to you to experiment and find, just because you will come up with a bunch of other colors on the way to black.
Have fun.

If you have blue paint and brown paint just mix them together a little at a time.lol.

If the paints you are talking about are oil, this will work.

Black is a mix of all colors.

The problem is that you are mixing PIGMENTS not colors, so no matter how many you mix you end up with a color like mud.

When all the colours in an artist palette are mixed together you will get black.

cat is right. black is acutally the absence of color, so "creating" it, is impossible.
