In order to be considered a dynasty the team must have a ratio of 2 championships : 3 seasons or utter dominance of an era, such as the Bills in the late 80's (lost 4 straight super bowls, but heck, no one else in history has made the super bowl in 4 straight seasons.)

My pick: Steel Curtain (75-81)

Steelers. First team to get 4 Superbowls. First team to get back to back Championships TWICE. Then you have the pure dominance. Look at old Jim Haslett's comments. He said part of the reason steroids started in football was that the other teams were basically trying to catch up to the size of the Steelers. He didn't say the Steelers were using them if you read the quote correctly. He said the Steelers were big and dominate.

The 49ers DID NOT win 5 STRAIGHT Superbowls. Fine they went 5-0. That doesn't mean they were STRAIGHT, that indicates there was no break.

The Celtics. They won 8 straight championships and 11 of 13 in the '50s and '60s with Bill Russell leading the way. No other professional sports team has come close to this kind of dominance.
I would include the Yankees for prolonged dominance, winning 26 championships from 1923 to 2000.
The Steelers were the most impressive Super Bowl Era football team, but the Packers of the '50s and '60s were more dominant.

There are only 3 possible in the major 4 Sports:

New York Yankees 6 of 7 in the 50's
Boston Celtics 11 of 12 - 50's and 60's
Montreal Canadiens 6 of 7 in the 50's

The Bills have never won a championship, I don't know how it can be called a dynasty

I hate to say it, but the Cowboys of the early 90's. They had an unbelievable amount of talent, especially their D-line and O skill players. They played huge in big games and won about everyone that they played while healthy.

I think my Broncos from 96-98 would compete, but the boys were tough then...
