No disrespect to Bolton fans, but should Sam be looking for a higher profile job?

Has he achieved all he can at Bolton?

Sam has proven to be a consistent performer in the past couple of seasons, bringing the best out of Bolton. I don't think he has to be looking for a higher profile job, I think that higher profile job will come looking for him when it becomes available.
But then again, as a player he spent about 7years at Bolton, so maybe him staying there is more driven by success for the club than just personal success

I do think thought that Sam should've gotten the England job. He's a brilliant manager, he's very thorough scouting his opponents, planning different tactics for each opponent, he brings out the best in players.
As for the comment of someone dreading the players he would call up to an England team, don't fear, If Sam ever got the job of England manager he would call up the players he knows will get the job done and win games, unlike spineless McClaren (and Eriksson) who keep faith with the "big" names and serial England underperformers

I truly respect him as a coach but I don't think he's achieved anything that makes him qualify for bigger clubs.

I can't remember what and what he's won for Bolton although they now are performing better than many international clubs around the planet.

The reference of what I'm saying is McLaren who's done nothing special in then went to coach the national team which is 100 times bigger than any team he's ever coached and look at the result. Being bigger is winning trophies and not only getting to the final of the competitions you're involved...

Thanx!

I think Sam Allardyce is already at a big club in Bolton, ok, they are not a world reknown club, but just look at the players he has being able to attract to Bolton, Ivan Campo, Fernado Hirerro, Nicholas Ankela (all ex Real Madrid players), Jared Borgetti.

i'm not sure big sam would be a sucess at one of the big teams in the prem. i think sam thrives on that siege mentality that comes with running a smaller team like bolton.
i'd dreed to think just what players he would call into the england set up if he got that job.

I don't know i think that he still has something to give Bolton, i mean this year he could get Bolton into europe.

I think as soon as he does this then maybe yes there isn't much more he could do for bolton.
