You definately need to be honest with the Dr's birthcontrol pills have serious side effects not to mention they are not fool-proof. Meaning if you are having sex you could get pregnant or catch a disease. Your doctor would need to know about the pills because some treatments or meds might endanger your life while on them or if you happen to be pregnant your babies. For instance if you were to break your arm and need xrays or even dental xrays, if you told the dr's you were on birthcontrol they should take extra care to make sure you are not pregnant before hand. And about the blood test thing I am sure if they looked hard enough they could find it. So just come clean with your mom, I am sure she is not that far in the dark anyways.

A lot of medication interferes with the way birth control works. The pills are hormones, and your doctor needs to know everything you're on.
I'm pretty sure it can be traced in your blood, many things can.
But I don't think it affacts much because I gave blood while on the pill. That means somebody who need my blood got some of my birth control, too. (???)

I doubt that any blood test during a check up would show you are taking birth control.
But you MUST tell your doctor that you are taking them. They have bad reactions with some other medicines, and some medicines make the birth control not work properly, so the doctor NEEDS to know any medications you are taking. And you are never "done" with birth control unless you get pregnant or don't want the protection any more--if you stop taking it, it doesn't work.

You shouldn't just stop taking birth control pills if you are still sexually active unless you WANT to become pregnant. However, if you are not yet an adult, and I am assuming from the fear of your mom finding out that you are still underage - then I hope you do not want to become pregnant.
Also, yes, always tell your doctor if you're taking birth control or any other meds - whether prescriptions or over the counter.

You should tell your doctor you are on them, if you need to be on some other kind of medicine, it can interfer with it, some can even make your birth control not work. even if it did show up on a blood test, birth control pills is not something your doctor is going to be worried about, so why would he tell your mother, becides they dont show up.

There can be drug interactions with birth control. But
it isn't really something they test your blood for. Sounds like you are pretty paranoid here. You need to talk to your mom. Or you need to be doing what you are told instead of playing around. Your mom knows what is best for you.

Why would you be finished taking them? You don't just take them one month and then not another. But yes, you should always tell your doctor the truth about your history. It'll help the doctor determine what's best for your health now.
