For me, it's the erhu, or what's also known as a Chinese violin, the bagpipes, the cello, and, most importantly of all: the electric guitar. The erhu and bagpipes are tied at third on my list. The cello is second, and the electric guitar comes first. I was devastated in high school when the realization that I had picked the wrong instrument finally hit. The flute wasn't right for me; I only chose it because it was the same instrument my sister played. And then, of course, I heard this song and realized how much time I'd wasted chasing the wrong thing. When I hear a nice electric guitar solo it's like love, and that's the--in a big, booming voice--DEEP, DARK SECRET. It's invigorating and beautiful and I love that sound with a passion. It got me through a severe bout of depression (several actually). Music was the only thing I had when no one knew how to listen. It's insane, but I feel more for that instrument's sound than I do for most people. Go figure.

Played the bass guitar professionally for twelve years and still jam some but have moved on to another career for some time now-----also play the guitar (fairly good at rythum guitar, too)----play basics on the piano but there is alot to be desired with that -- So -- if there was any instrument that I'd like to "learn to play" -- it would have to be the piano -- a whole lot better than I do !!!

I used to play a flute. I picked one up in November and sounded awful. I'd like a flexitone although it doesn't take much to play, just a plunk, then "plucklaly jrukaly plucklaly jrukaly plucklaly jrukaly plucklaly jrukaly!!!" Love it.
