I am a loser. I have master's degree and no job. My parents died. I am gay. Everyone else I know seem to get ahead. Is it ok to be jealous of almost everyone?

Yes its wrong, it is so wrong to be jealous of anothers success. Don't you hate feeling like that?
Why would you ask if its OK. to be jealous ? Why not decide to be happy for that persons success, and change your attitude, and it will reflect in your work place and you might find how much better that works for you. You are only a loser because you keep feeding yourself that kind of negative information. Don't do that.!! Stop it.
A lot of our parents or deceased now and it is rough to go through that, but its how life works.
You say, you are gay. I am not into that and so I have no comment on that one way or another at this point.
I hope that you will put on a positive attitude and hold your head up and go out and seek a job in which you can advance, and don't compare yourself to other people. That's a no brain-er~~~
. You will never be happy in your own skin unless you learn to love yourself. Please work on that, so you won't stay in the place you are today. God Bless You and good luck too.
You can be a Winner !!! Go for it.

No it is not OK to be jealous. It leads you no where. Take stock of who you really are. Why don't you have a job? If it is not education, do you need some other counseling? How you respond to adversity is the measure of your character. If you think of life as war, you've only fought a few battles. Take it from someone who has been fired and fought back to succeed, the judgement of your character is a long-term affair.

And by the way, what does the death of your parents have to do with branding you a loser?

You will feel however you feel; there is no right or wrong. At the same time, stating that you are a loser doesn't help you change anything - and what does being gay have to do with it? There are jobs out there for you if you're willing to go the distance - and you may have to move to find them - so you may want to use all the energy you're wasting on fussing about it all to change what you have into what you really want.

Go for it!

It's wrong-yeah. Cuz when you keep thinking about how jealous you are of somebody then it really effects how you see yourself and it doesn't make you feel too great.
Instead of using that jealousy you have to feel bad-why not feel good that at least you have a master's degree? Some people don't have that and would like to. Feel motivated by your jealousy to get a job and try to make the best out of your life.
Soon, you will get better-just as long as you take each day one at a time.

Good luck!!

Go to college. take your masters degree and get a practical education you can use in the real world...then you'll have a job and meet new people. I am so sorry to hear about your parents, I hope you have othe family to lean on. being gay should not reflect on your quality of life.

it's ok to be jealous, but you'd be better off focusing on why others might be jealous of you. like for having a Masters, which i am still dreaming of.

No it is not wrong - you are human and in a bad place. Lots of people get ahead in different ways - some work really hard and others are just plain lucky. Talk to your friends about their success and try to find out how they did it - apply for lots of jobs - put yourself out there. You are not a loser!!!!

Its human nature. Just go do something about what you want instead of sitting there being jealous.
