I'm not an expert, but I have a round face. I use bronzer instead of blush (depends on skin, mine is darker). I suck in my cheeks and brush it from the "hole" that is made up to the tops of my cheekbones instead of swirling the brush around in a circle motion. Blend well so it doesn't look to 80s. I like MAC powder bronzer, it comes in a huge container and lasts forever. Also, I found that extending eyeliner a little bit past my eyes and slightly upwards seems to help my face look less round. Good luck!

I also have a round face , I use dark powder such as contouring powder , using it under the cheekbone will make your cheeks stand out, as well as shape your face ,highlight powder you put on places you want to look larger such as your cheek bones , but use sparingly , when you put the powder on your brush blow on it lightly to get the excess off , then apply, there are books at your local library I'm sure about applying makeup, even magazines as Cosmo, vogue, Elle, these will give you ideas of how to apply your make up.
look at your face in the mirror with just your foundation on, look where you need to contour such as look smaller and which places you want to highlight such as look larger.
hope this helps

Follow the natural cheek bone with a light dusting of highlighting powder or a light blush. Don't put anything on the apple of your cheeks!

Swipe rosy/illuminating blush on the apples of your "cheeks." make sure not to put too much on because you don't want to look like a clown.

Try a foundation that is just a bit darker than your skin tone under your cheekbones. Or, use a little bronzer.
