Im so sorry for you loss. I miscarried 3 weeks ago. I bleed a week before the miscarrage was confirmed and then a week after it happened. The blood slowly got less and less, stoped for a day then i had a tiny bit more. As long as blood is getting less or staying the same and not getting more then you should be ok.

If you want to talk to someone who had been through it (that helped for me) Then email me.

Oh yes that is normal. I had a miscarriage and bled for about six weeks. Every woman is different, and it all depends on the type of miscarriage as well, but expect it to go on for a couple of weeks at least. Talk to your doctor if you are worried, but you only miscarried a few days ago, so it will take a while.

It also depends on whether you had a D&C or are just letting things happen naturally.

Sweetie, I am so sorry for your loss. Please go see a Dr or at least phone one. Call an Ob/gyn office and pretend to be a patient asking a question if you don't have a Dr. Just call and say, "Hi, this is Jane Doe, and I'd like to speak to a nurse." Most places will patch you through to a nurse, but be prepared to be onhold for a while.
Most importantly, remember that this is not your fault. You are not a bad person being punished for something and you should not be blaming yourself.

You can bleed up to a month afterwards. You do need to be checked after you stop bleeding to make sure you don't need a D & C. If you don't have a D & C and there are remnants of tissue left in the uterus, you can develop a serious infection.

I had a D & C where they went in and made sure everything was gone... I spoted for a day or two after that.

My Dr. did tell me that if I didn't have one that I could bleed or spot for a month or two.

So yes that is totally normal.

So sorry about your loss
