She once said that they were planning on getting married a couple of times and then they just decided that you didn't need a marriage license to be happy.Maybe they're afraid to jinx it.Whatever it is as long as they're happy.

I do not see the point if they have been together al these years and it is working for them then they don't need a piece of paper.

she doesn't want to go through with the b. s , of filing for divorce , once bitten , twice shy, so to speak.
If there good with out it why bother, as long as they know and love each other, is what counts, going through that hassel is painful enough.
But they do make a good team.
