I would say I was proud of him for wanting to be a man that has stopped any terrorist attack on this country since 9/11, for wanting to lower our taxes so I could keep more of what I earn and not let the government waste it on so-called professional welfare recipients. I would tell him I was proud of him for kicking bad habits like drinking alcohol. I would tell him I was proud that he was able to get into Harvard and Yale and even become a fighter pilot, all three of which most people on Y/A could never accomplish. I would tell him I was proud that he brought respect back to the oval office instead of letting the world think it was known for the office holder as having his pants around his ankles. I would tell him I was proud that he would rid the world of a nutjob like Saddam and had the guts to tackle some of the greatest problems facing any president by showing leadership and resolve. I would tell him to never govern by sticking his finger in the air and seeing which way the political winds were blowing. I would tell him that I would pray for him like I pray for George Bush.

Go for it. You would be a successful venture capatilist who would use your position in a business to create a strong entertainment tax base for the city of Arlington to recruit the Dallas Cowboys from Irving and Dallas, then you would be the first person ever re-elected in back to back terms in the second largest state in the union, wherein you would create a sales tax free holiday that would spur retail economic growth for the state economy, then you would be the second son of a president to become president, serving two terms wherein you increase the quantity of home ownership, college attendence of minorities, small business ownerships of minorities, and have the stock market grow to its highest ever in the history of the nation.

You would also achieve the highest poltical office in the nation and be one of less than 50 Americans to ever hold the position. So son/daughter, if you want to have a successful life wherein you achieve the status of being the leader of the USA, then more power to you. Learning from the success of others is a great way to achieve success.

Remember you only tackle the man with the ball in football, cause he is the only one who can score.
So you are just proving to me how much on the Ball he must be.
As a Canadian it seems to me He must be a great president , as well very effective, a man of great stature. Years a head of his time. Only many years from now will they honor Him.
Bush is a man of God. He can not tell you everything now can he? So others take advantage of that.
He is an honorable man of God.

I'd want to know WHY they think he is someone to emulate. I'd want to know why they would want to emulate most politicians that are on a national level.
To be a successful politician on the national level in the US, you have to be a pretty horrible person these days. I don't think it's possible for a truly ethical, good person to get elected to the office of President of the US. Not with the way our political system is set up now. We need MAJOR reforms for that to happen.

Actually, this isn't far from the truth in my house. My daughter greatly admires the President and wishes to follow in his footsteps, and I do and will continue to give her all the encouragement and support I can. If she want to go into politics, I'd much rather she tries to emulate a man who leads based on principles and not polls, instead of a man who can't keep his hands off his interns.
