There might be something wrong with the phone itself, or the memory card might not be fully seated in the phone.

either ur card could be a little dirty..blow into the slot and make sure there is no dust...two make sure its all the way in there..and three the phone may take a while to read and scan and/or find the card.

I had the same problem with my Nokia, but then it went completely, if it is under warranty, sometimes they will help you, mine wasn't, try Nokia and see if they can help you.

my nokia used to do this, i put it down to poor bulid quality, nokia have gone down the pan.
