Sounds more like wasting rather swim bladder. Usually, with swim bladder they kind of wobble to and fro. I don't have much advice except talk to the people at the pet store. Change 1/2 of the water every month, keep the ph of the water balanced, keep the filter clean, keep the temp at about 76, don't overfeed. Good luck. Sometimes, it's just their time.

I couldn't view the picture any bigger than your thumbnail pic. I can't tell. I know my one fish had it before. I don't think it can kill it, I had one fish float for hours at a time, then straighten himself back out. Yet, try to put the food lower in the water than just letting it float the top. This is where they get air into the bladder. I had a fish die recently of Pine Cone disease. Which a parasite goes inside and grows outward, making the scales rise out making it look like a pinecone. Very strange! Good luck with your fish!

My daughters fish developed a similar problem about 8months ago,+ was being bullied by a smaller fish, which was constantly chasing it,+nipping its sides+ biting its tail+ fins,so i put it down to stress.I got some good advice+ from the site below.I emailed the problem+ soon had a reply with diagnosis+ instructions on what to do.The 2fish are quite happy in the same tank now,no bullying. Its spine is still bent, but both fish seem happy enough.

all fish have a swim bladder this is how they maintain there nutural buoyency.
it sounds like people think swim bladder is a disease. WRONG its an organ in the fish that they fill with air or let air out to maintain neutral buoncey. every fish has this.
as for your fish being sick or anything imnot sure, sorry you didnt provide enough details.

Your pic is too small to see properly, even when I click on it. There could be a few reasons for your fish doing that, but without seeing it, it would be difficult to tell what was wrong.

If you frustrate yourself trying to know why a fish has something wrong, do you forget that sometimes fish have something wrong with them for no reason? That s*** happens? That sometimes there is nothing you can do? It is good you love your fish, but there is no easy answer to this.

Yes, your fish has a swimbladder (of course). Do you mean 'is it diseased'? Be Specific!
