I thought they said they was going to leave America if Bush Got Elected. I guess they don't never make good on their promises.

Sir, I think your question makes little sense. A liberal would support freedoms of speech, press, religion. They might criticize the government, but not the American Freedoms. I know of no one who said they would leave the country if Bush became President. He only has a 36 percent approval rating and since conservatives make up a majority of the over all public, apparently some conservatives do not approve of him either.

I don't hate American freedom and frankly I believe freedom to be a right engendered to all peoples, French, Russians, and Iraqis included, so in that since I believe in universal freedom. I never said I'd leave if he got elected. Also every country has its problems, France and Russia moreso than here, at least in my opinion. Where you go wrong is saying that because of liberals' views on certain issues, they should leave the country.

Progressives who follow the modern liberalism are actually more concerned with personal freedoms than most conservatives. Not to imply that conservatives are fascist, because that's not true. If you look at the fight over freedoms and the constitution today, though, you will see that it's the modern republican party that claims that some freedoms should be temporarily given to protect the rest. While the modern democrat party opposes that and doesn't like the idea of giving up freedoms. I'm not saying either one is right. They both have their pros and cons. It's just a matter of looking at both sides and choosing the lesser of two evils.

I would still love to hear why people think George Bush the Junior is not a Liberal. Hint: Big Federal Government, Lack of States rights, High spending.

Those sound like conservative programs to you? Yeah dude, your beloved Bush is the most Liberal figure in politics these days.

Go figure...

Which American freedoms are we talking about exactly? The freedom to torture people who have not been charged with a crime? Execute developmentally delayed teenagers? Starve to death? Die because you have no health insurance? Wire tap the telephone of average citizens? Invade countries and kill thousands of civilians to safeguard our oil supplies and prop up the ruling classes?
Last time I checked neither Russia nor France was a communist country.

Guess they realized they would be punished with imprisonment for voicing their opinions in Russia or France. In half a century, if they keep it up, we won't be allowed to even do that here anymore. I can see why Liberals are winning though. They base everything off of political correctness while Conservatives base everything off of less government interference in their lives. Therefore, a majority of Conservatives try to distance themselves from the government and leave the political propaganda up to the politicians.

Neither Russia nor France are communist countries. Russia proclaimed Democratic Regime in 1992, and France right after WW2.

Freedom is a fence, Freedom is an invasion, Freedom is Government Spying on Citizens, Freedom is torture, Freedom is Detention without Charges, let me know when I get to your idea of what Freedom is , maybe we can find some common ground and have a dialogue.
