Sensible objectivity regarding Big Brother?

To all those calling the UK a racist state....cool your jets and look at yourself before casting judgement on others.

Every single nation on this earth has racist elements in it and the UK is no exception. People talk behind closed doors (or national televsion if your IQ is that low). I'll admit I am not an avid viewer of the show (I have a life) but you cannot tarnish an entire people just because of two or three individuals. India itself is not exact a parragon of virtue when it comes to human rights either. For details see Kashmir, the Adivasis people and women in general.

The whole bog brother circus is a tacky freak show which has finally and spectacularly backfired on Endemol and Channel Four.

The only person during this whole sorry episode with her self-respect is Shilpa Setty herself. Her quiet, ladylike dignity puts the rest of us to shame.

Yes I do "fancy" her...I have a pulse. But that is beside the point. Less puerile answers please.

I don't think that the people of India Believe that all the people of the UK are racist .The TV has only its self to blame .After all the the proof of the pudding is in the eating .that Jade Goody the Mick Jagger look alike and her partners in crime .I think they are very Jealous of the Shilpa Setty I am only aware of the program having watched the news .But Yes I have seen The none Talented JG Before I would.nt Put her in my wheelie bin .One they say Should never work with animals On the films or TV .I do not understand why This most lovely Indian Lady could lower herself to go on such A load of trash there is nothing nice about the snippets I have seen in the passed the lingo that is used is toilet fodder what an example do we set to the young ones putting this on the TV If some one came in to my house using foul mouth lingo with my young ones there they would go out quicker than they came in.But people let this in there house because it's on TV .The sooner they get rid of this kind of clap trap off TV the better it will be

I would like to say very well said about not generalising about the majority because of the actions of a few.

I do believe that Big Brother producers will not do anything about this situation unless forced to because it is achieving exactly what they want it to achieve - people are continuously talking about it, it is on the news, all over web sites, in the newspapers, everywhere and people are, unfortunately tuning in to see what all the fuss is about.

Personally I think that the people that are running this show should be held accountable - after all they show the 'gory' bits on Diary room uncut (the only time I have watched this pile of drivel they call 'entertainment'). I do believe there is a time delay on the 'live' feed to enable them to bleep out any sensitive information so why are they not using this opportunity to edit out the alleged racism? For sensationalism I believe.

Shilpa is a manipulator and she knows EXACTLY what's going on. I am tired of her silly pretence, and she's not that attractive if you look at her properly. PLUS surgery!!! forget it!

The S club bird doesn't look like she cares about any other cultures at ALL and doesn't want to mix with anyone apart from working class girls like herself (her comfort zone) Hardly Racism towards 'Sherbert'!

And the ugly scouse model with the chip on her shoulder is JEALOUS and not very bright and thinks in terms of superficialities anyway, so is bound to focus on 'Shiltons' skin colour amongst other things! Once again Hardly a Racist.

I don't think things started well at the start when Shilpa first came in and seemed to have a huge ego, but no way does she deserve to be bullied for it and I think she has handled it brilliantly. I think she will be most upset when she finds out what's been happening on the outside. I hope BB prepare all the contestants before they leave.

P.S I'm a lady who likes men, but Shilpa is hot!

I myself respect Shilpa, not for her presence on CBB but because i know the disrespect of the 'bollywood' stars have received as a whole. I live in the melting pot of the UAE where we have Bolly/Holly Wood stars making their 'mark' here month after month, Shilpa has exposed herself into an unknown market which i am sure many of her peers (holly or bolly) would not have attempted, good luck to the girl i hope she 'shoves' these 'chavs' back to normality (i am ashamed to be a Brit and am afraid to call these 'chavs' my fellow country folk)

I agree with everything you have said except for the final paragraph about Shilpa.
She has made her fair share of comments about the other housemates. As you say, she is simply an average person with all their faults.
Her attitude and the way she has conducted herself has no quiet dignity. She can and does get into a gutter style slanging match, the same as anyone else.

She's a Tamil who lives in Bombay,and therefore is used to defending herself.In reality she's not upset and is playing the whole thing to her advantage.She's by far the cleverest one in there,and she's providing good entertainment which puts the viewing figures up,so Channel 4 will probably offer her work in the future,as they also make movies.Shilpa Shetty obviously wins on all counts.

i imagine they favor to redesign the entire ingredient! i imagine they shoudl provide up it for a three hundred and sixty 5 days- advance the anticipation, then make the entire ingredient distinct, its gotten so boreing and predictable and sex depending that its some thing I now aviod the position as I used to make the attempt to video reveal it.
