I read Where Rainbows End by Cecilia Ahern. It's in a emails and letters format so it's like Boy meets Girl. But sorry, I'm kinda out of suggestions 'cause I've been reading the Twilight series (you may love it but you may hate it) so I'll be watching this question! Oh and Meg Cabot is BRILLIANT :D

I would suggest reading titles from the Sunfire Romance series of mid-80s to early 90s fame. They're available on Amazon used, and most are readily affordable. Used bookstores might carry a few as well. They're by a variety of authors, but the title of each one is a name. So there's Julie. Jenny. Cassie. Amanda. etc. Anyway, they're all historical romance novels for teens. Somewhat predictable, but always enjoyable.

I think you'll find that these two books, which i also had a good time reading was influenced by Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austin. It is much longer but it is a wonderful read and full of animated characters and a wonderfull ending. It even has on the most famous beginings in literature. " It is a truth universally acknowledge that a single man in possession of a good fortune must be in want of a wife."

If you never read it, i think you will love it. i did. Or you can try one of her other classics such as Emma, if you ever saw the movie Clueless, that is the book it was based on.

I'm not sure if you're a teen or an adult, but if you're an adult, Meg has written some historical romances for adults which she wrote as Patricia Cabot, one of her pseudonyms. Here is a list. (See source)

There is a book called Old Magic by Marianne Curley which is a time travel book, but you might like it. It has a bit of the same premise.
