So far, libs have been posting the transcript, which shows no insult. No matter what you think about Boxer, there is no insult.

Cons, on the other hand, do not post a transcript, but instead post their INTERPRETATION of the exchange based, of course, on what right wing radio tells them to think.

So c'mon cons, let's see the facts.

relies upon on the breed. I even have seen some breeds that the version in temperament, force, character and understand-how are so close between working and tutor, which you would be able to have the skill to take the tutor canines, and placed him good to artwork without concern. I often get many thumbs down for announcing this, yet my uncomplicated philosophy of what a canines could desire to be like is this... A canines could desire to be like, have the construct, and characteristics, that it ought to stay on on it incredibly is very own in it incredibly is organic ecosystem. of course, canines stay on greater proper as a member in a kinfolk unit. So i do no longer recommend on it incredibly is very own as in being via it incredibly is self. I recommend as a %. member with a team of different canines, and no people. i assume i'm getting hammered because of the fact human beings take that to point i'm against some breeds of canines. no longer so, i admire canines. yet, you are able to think of a %. of untamed Huskies surviving in the mountains of Canada. the place are you able to think of a %. of untamed toy Pomeranian surviving? Any how, you have a great day.

All Senator Boxer did was point out the fact people who are making the decisions to sacrifice more American lives in Iraq have no direct connection to soldiers who are there and those who will go there. And she used Condi Rice as a prime example. She never called her names, demoralized her, or physically accosted her. Furthermore, Senator Boxer admitted she had no personal connection to the war either, through her family.

FOX News made it seem as if Senator Boxer put Secretary Rice down for being female, a minority, unmarried, and barren. But all she did was make a point that has been lacking in this country for four years.

“Who pays the price? I’m not going to pay a personal price. My kids are too old and my grandchild is too young. You’re not going to pay a particular price, as I understand it, with an immediate family. So who pays the price? The American military and their families. And I just want to bring us back to that fact.”

What Boxer is saying is that Rice does not have children or a personal connection to the war. I think this is irrelevant and childish, reminiscent of Michael Moore on the steps yelling at congressmen for not having their children in the war.

Lincoln didn't. Roosevelt didn't. You don't have to have a personal family member in the military to make good decisions and to understand the pain the families are going through. In fact I think having family involved would actually make it harder for someone to make the right decision because they have their emotions involved in something that should be based on the facts.

The fact of the matter is, most of the congressmen voted for the war and they did not have children or family involved, but now they're bringing it up because they've flip-flopped and want to criticize the president.

The fact is that Boxer was right. Neither she nor Rice have a fish that has to swim in the Iraq pond. I see no insult and only a true statement when Boxer said that Rice has no consiquental involvement. Sour grapes by the repubs if you ask me. Of course as we all know, the repubs have laid the blame on everyone for this war including Prez Clinton. Yeah, it's all his fault. My sons child was born 2months premature. I'll blame that on Clinton also. Sour grapes and forgetfullness, thats the repubs.

note: this was january 12, 2007.

In a segment narrated by ABC senior national correspondent Jake Tapper, today's Good Morning America highlighted Boxer's questionable comment, running a good-sized clip of the exchange.

Rice: "I can never do anything to replace any of the lost men and women in uniform, or the diplomats, some of whom . . . "

An interrupting Boxer: "Madame Secretary, please, I know you feel terrible about it; that's not the point. I was making the point about who pays the price for your decisions. Now the issue is who pays the price? Who pays the price? I'm not going to pay a personal price. My kids are too old, and my grandchild is too young. You're not going to pay a particular price, as I understand, with an immediate family."

Many people would find pointing out that a woman is single and childless to be an insult. There is a long history of this - feminists saying for at least 40 years that a woman doesn't need a man or children to be "complete."

Everyone has a right to their opinion. Elizabeth Holtzman, a Democrat congressperson who voted on the House Judiciary Committee to approve articles of impeachment against Nixon (AND authored a book laying out an impeachment case against Bush!!!), is a single, childless woman herself and disagrees with you:

Is she a "con"? Where are HER facts? Or do only "cons" need to provide them?

Would Holtzman's statements have been more widely reported if the parties were reversed?

the insult was infered. Democrats being the defenders of minorities and womens rights should be ashamed to to tell a single blavk female on the Birthday of MLK thatshe has no understanding of an issue because she is single. If Rice was a Democrat the media would be all over it demanding a resignation of the Republican that made such a statement.

Where is NOW on this issue and Jesse jackson? do equal rights issues only get attention when the victim is a democrat?

Ha ha. Shiraz (Uno 2) says it was inferred. That, there, is the problem. They are grasping for straws; they are looking for fights.
