I beg to differ on the previous entry; I prefer to throw Lincoln Logs at my cats it's just better weight and balance.

tinker toys has smaller peices which will get lost and hard to find and your four year might possibly build a death machine for your cat Tinker toys fall apart if they get knocked over which would be a bummer for your son or daughter the tinker toys are better but more deadly lol
