Hi there, there is a blue diesel dye that will turn all diesel blue, even turn red diesel to blue and is legal. Do you know or have any idea what its made from please? Also how many of you use red diesel in your car? This could be your answer!

Surely if customs and excise examine the disel in your tank they can tell if you have added this dye.i wouldnt risk it,if you get caught its a big fine.Customs can usually tell if your using red by the amount of smoke in your emmissions so i would have thought this dye will do you no good!

I think you will have a problem if your diesel in your car or truck is any color. Taxed diesel is uncolored and anything else is a cover up.

Untaxed fuel (most typically paraffin) is dyed blue to indicate that tax has not been paid on it. It's illegal to use it as fuel in vehicles used on public roads.

its just food colouring in it.
