I have one which I seldom use and but I still get annoyed when someone says they rang and didn't leave a message, but when it comes to me getting through to an answering machine I go completely tongue tied and garble so I tend to slam down the phone! So I am no better really! I also hate them when you phone a company cos you know 9/10 absolutely noone has any intention of ever getting back to you!

I got rid of mine years ago. when i was out and came in i hated knowing work had rang. then they say can you do blah blah and you cant deny you knew. now they cant get hold of me if i dont answer, so i feel much less stressed when off.

They are useful, but I don't like talking to machines.. plus it means someone has to hear an awful recording of my voice!

i hate answer phones when i m making a long distance and machine picks it up or when i m calling my huby on mobile and machine picks it
