Try doing things you like, and going to places where other people who like that might be. If you have a hobby, there might be a group in the area. If you are religious, go to church. Try taking a class where you learn about something you are interested in. Maybe you can be friends with someone you work with at a job. Think about what you are looking for in a friend and where that kind of person might hang out. It will take time to develop a friendship - just show up and be friendly.

Funny- I had a bunch of friends when I was in HS- A yr after HS, I ran into a couple of these buddies but I didn't feel like I had anything left in common with them. It was like their mentality was still "HS" and mine just clashed with theirs.
I guess "how to find a friend" really depends on the kind of friend you're looking for.

just talk to people if your in school talk to your class mates if your out of school talk to the people you work with dont try to hard just be your self it will happen on its own
