Below is a link to an Indian e-mail provider (they were offering 1 Gb storage long before Yahoo), I offers a point many of us in the west may have overlooked, and to make this a question discuss.

I find the whole format of Big Brother puerile and only ever see it flicking across the channels when the ads come on, except for controversy such as this one. I do not see this present situation and debate as racist but loutish, unintelligent behaviour which unfortunately is an unwelcome trend in many aspects of our ( British ) society. I understand that BB is not actually shown in Indian and therefore any protests there are based on heresay. A valid point is that Indian society has some of the most extreme examples of discrimination based on its caste system, at least in the UK we do not automatically stop someone born in the gutter raising them selves up to better things. We also, as BB demonstrates, let those with the language and manners of the gutter have their say. As someone else ( I think it was Sir David Frost ) once put it, 'Television is an invention that permits you to be entertained in your living room by people you wouldn't have in your home '.

i reali like shilpa not only should jade and her 'gang' be evicted but prosecuted to.if this was just normal big brother without the celebs, not that there is any celebs there anyway.lol, then the stupid girls would be evicted straight away.they are just insicure in themselves and just because shilpa is pretty and is 'chillin' with all of the famous people they feel it is right to call her.im 14 and think that the language and 'accents' jades clique use to describe her is just disgusting.i really should stop i have got to do my geography homework. xxbecxx ps it is also funny how no black people have commented on this.

Has anyone actually simply done a transcript of what was actually said and done without linking it to people? This would tell you whether any racist comments were made. I'm just worried that the BNP will get more votes out of all this.

Germaine Greer makes many good points a lot of the time. Too bad that wasn't one of those times.
