It sounds like the ball valve in the header tank has stuck down for some reason ( often happens if you have had the system drained to do some work) Go into the loft & lift the arm on the ball valve in the tank & the water should start to flow again & as long as you dont drain it down too low it shouldn't happen again. It wouldn't hurt to replace the ball valve if you're reasonably handy, they only cost about a fiver & will last for poroably another 20 years

It could be the ballvalve in the header tank stuck in the "UP" position not as someone has said in at the "down position".
You could probably release it by hand and get it working again but I would replace it.
Thet are very cheap from a plumbers merchants if you have the right tools it will take about 15 mins.

The ball valve that lets water into the tank is blocked with dirt or grit. If you can manage it. urn off the water and remove the complete valve and make sure that all dirt andd grit is cleaned out. then re assemble and replace it in to water tank.
