I have two desktops and a laptop on a wireless network. Right after installing AVG software the Dell Inpiron 700M can no longer detects the wireless network. I get the message. "no wireless networks found in range - Make sure the wireless switch on your computer is on"

Make sure your computer is set to automatically get an IP address and a DNS address. (You have to do this for wireless and Ethernet separately.) It has nothing to do with where you are. (I take my laptop from New York, where it uses my wireless router, to my sister-in-law in North Carolina, turn it on and I'm online with her wireless router.) Call the number you have for Cox tech support and they'll have you on line in 5 minutes. (Part of the bill is for tech support, so you might as well use it. I do this professionally, and I still call my cable company once in a while. They do it all day, so they know exactly what to set where to get you online.)
