I am also a certified Medical Assistant with no experiance. I have over 100 successful draws through my externship. This is a 2nd career for me after spending 16 yrs in sales, being promoted 3x and making a good income. I left the sales business to get away from the constant high pressure of recruiting and sales to pursue my desire of working in the health field. I would really appreciate it if you have any suggestions. Thanks in advance.

I am also a Medical Assistant but. I not only took the MA registry but also the Phlebotomy one. Depend on your state some require this while others just recommend you have it. I am in a state where they recommend you have it. Make sure you keep a record of your sticks since you will need that if you take the registry. Before I went and applied anywhere I made sure I had passed the Phlebotomy Registry. Once I had my certificate I went and started applying. A good place to apply are the blood banks and plasma centers. They usually do not pay very well but you can at least get the experience so you can go and get a job from a lab or hospital afterwards. This is a very good job and depending on your state can pay nicely too. Good luck with your job search. The jobs are out there just be persistent!! if you have questions about the registry feel free to email me at erincastro@hotmail.com

This was the case for my sister a few years ago. She graduated as a Medical Assistant but did not have experience to begin work in the field. My sister was able to find an entry-level position that allowed her to move up financially within a matter of months. Try looking for entry-level positions in this field.

Once you get your first interview, explain to the recruiter why you'd be the PERFECT candidate for the position. Describe all the training you received and your love for the health care field. Not to mention you're certified for the job. Good luck!

in the starting up i'm sorry for all the crap solutions you've gotten. ETA you've gotten some extra useful ones now, it truly is no longer me doing the thumbs downing! you've no longer enable your self down, i'd have instructed them to **** off too! have you ever had any drugs for the flaws you've already been clinically determined with? per chance antidepressants and/or antipsychotics? (which sound worse than they are) You seem to have some fake perceptions and distorted questioning happening. also, it appears like getting your enamel fastened and dropping slightly weight might want to help you experience slightly extra positive which in turn can make you slightly a lot less protective. once you experience as a lot because it you would possibly want to target to get out and meet some new human beings by going to an evening classification for instance (i understand it truly is type of cliche). you would possibly want to even benefit some skills in the route of that ok paying job you're after. it truly is awesome that you've pursuits and aims, only save going, you receives there in the great :)

You really need to look for some sort of internship. They either don't pay at all, or not very well, but it is where they hire their permanent people from.

you need an internship, or else there are so many applicants in that field that they dont need anyone without some experience.
