My mother got me this job, where she works, and well I have been working their for 2 weeks now, and really hate it. I had shoulder surgery last April and my shoulder just can't handle doing all the filing and stuff they want me to. My mom really wants me to stay, she thinks its a great job! How do I explain to her, and the main boss, that I just can't keep putting my body through all the pain, over a 9.00 hour job.

Oh, by the way it was suppose to be a temp job, and now all of a sudden they want me to go full time with the company.

Welcome to the real world. Where they don't care if you are injured, needed surgery or whatever. To them either you are going to do it or be replaced. Unfortunate and true. So now ask yourself if this is something you want to put up with the rest of your life. I think your mom was trying to teach you this life lesson. So don't assume that your mother just absolutely, unequivocally, and unyielding love her job. If she had an alternative I guarantee she would go on vacation and tell them to plant it where the sun doesn't shine.

yea for some people all they have is bad luck,,why don't you fake an injury at work , then you can use the shoulder to get workers comp,,I think that is illegal but you only go around once so live for the gusto
with your attitude you shouldn't have a problem with legalities
