I do watch the show, not the try outs. I don't like to watch people cry.

It's very entertaining, however some of the judges comments recently went too far. I think they are well balanced panel. Simon is so smooth. I recall once Paula had to defend him because the audience booed him when he was actually complimenting the performer with an intelectual statement that the audience didn't get. You have to listen to him close when the real competition is going on because he attempts to be constructive while being cutting.

I like American Idol. Simon is usually right on with his opinions, though he often is very tactless with the way he expresses himself. Paula is almost worthless as a judge. She's a fan of everybody even if they don't sing very well. Randy's kind of in the middle between the two.

Simon is definatly the best judge as he's always honest with the auditionees (sometimes harsh but always honest). He knows what he's talking about and people should just accept they can't sing.

No, I like the concept, but I can't stand the drama from the judges, and I hate the fakeness of showing the bad ones as if they were actual going to be in the competition. Remember that old show "Star Search". I use to LOVE that show! A lot of singers and comedians got their break from that show.

American idol is ok to watch once in a while , but what gets me is that when they have picked a winner , and the person before they sang better, what up with that one?

the best part of that show is all the losers who try to get on and think that they can sing but really can't , I mean did you see the show last night Randy called them the people from Minnehopeless out of 10,000 that showed up 17 were picked to go on to the next round. I can't stop laughing at these people and they really believe that they are great one woman said that she took singing lessons for 10 years and jewel says that someone took her money when she asks simon what can she do to improve he says "leave"........... priceless

Only the beginning
When they get the audience in w/the show I usually stop watching it. I can't get over seeing people as awful as they are "REALLY THINK" they can sing? I know their mom probably tells'em "baby, you're good!" But, come'on that's mom! Someone has to of told them....DUDE YOU CAN'T SING! Maybe they're going to try to make it to show everyone that they were wrong? Then they act surprised when Simon says "-huh- NO!"

Love it, like all the judges, was a little disappointed with first episode, was hoping to see more "good" singers than the idiots that they let through.

I love the show because it's fun.I like seeing people grow and get better.I think Simon is a great judge.I don't know who will win because we don't know the finalists yet.
