Freeze it in icecube trays. Yeah yeah leeching. Then put the cubes in any kind of container you want. Glass even. As they will not expand once they are froze.
So long as the baby food is completely cool before putting it into the trays and you don't heat it in the plastic I don't think leeching is a big concern.
If you are REALLY concerned make the babyfood extra thick and drop it on cookie sheets and freeze or use glass jars but only fill about 2/3 to 3/4 full and don't put the lid on til they are frozen.

i used an ice cube tray! It works great and is made for freezing so is safe in the freezer. I would portion the food into each cube spot then put the whole tray inside a freezer bag so nothing would get on it. It works great because then i could just pop out a cube..stick it in the microwave and it was ready to go. I actually still use this method for easy one person dinners with spaghetti sauce and things like that =)

Try the little containers from Target. They are only sold online though. They look like ice cube trays with lids. But, time is of the esscense - just use a few ice cube trays and cover with plastic wrap tightly so the wrap dosesn't lay in the food.

You use ice cube trays and cover with plastic wrap. Then, when frozen, put cubes in freezer ziplocks.
All the info is on wholesomebabyfood.com
I wouldn't reuse the glass jars.

use zip-loc freezer bags. make sure it says freezer on it and use a rubber band or twist tie to keep it down in the corner, like a little pouch of baby food.
i used these when freezing breastmilk at the advice of my lactation consultant. i figure, if it's fine for breastmilk, then it should be fine for baby food!
have fun and that's awesome you're making your own baby food. i used to say that i would do that, but then i realized i don't have 36 hours in a day...just 24;)
take care.

the best thing to use is ziploc bags or i think it is glad that makes them, are the small plastic containers that are for snacks. don't reuse the glass jars, they could shatter. better to use plastic than glass so you or family members don't get injured. like they say, plastics make it possible.

veryone else is reccomending ice cube trays which is a good idea but i was watching Rachael Ray and she was putting pesto in to ziplock bags, laying them flat and freezing them. and it works. you can stack them and you know what is in each bag. it also saves on space. good luck hope this helps

put one of the jars in the freezer & see how it reacts. if it doesn't crack, put the baby food in with space at the top, put it in the freeze, let it freeze, then put the caps on
