Is voting only political lines effective and productive?

I guess I would rather have ALL of the facts and determine which is right! .....But that's just me!

You?

Kelly, both political parties suck right now. It's always the lesser of two evils. I vote for the person that seems more competent, more capable, in case something important comes up. Needless to say, that was not Bush in the past two elections.

But, if I had a choice between, say, Al Sharpton and John McCain -- it would have to be McCain.

But, you are right to be on the fence. What you might be sensing is that both parties are basically the same -- two different factions of the same corporatist country club. Or, maybe it's some other aspect that turns you off.

I vote for the right person, no matter what party affiliation, even though I am a registered republican. I was a democrat for many years, but switched parties during the Bill and Monica Lewinsky debacle, along with my congressional baffoon.

I used to believe in that, still do ina way.. but usually what happens is one group says a lot of things you know will destroy your country... so you side with its opposite party, because voting independent would be a wasted vote. Thats when i became Republican.

I think that the most important thing is the values of the person you are voting for.

I'm with you. It depends on the issue and the candidate. I tend to vote slightly right of center of most issues...but overall, I'm probably smack dab in the middle.

When in doubt, vote for the guy who won't send your children to die in senseless wars (sound familiar?)

And rely even more so on pathetic voters.
