Your question can be answered using two different fields - Science and Spirutualism ,which is not accepted by science.I will briefly cover both of them.
Don't you think , to start using an electronic gadget efficiently you must know everything about it! The same applies to brain also. When I say you need to know about it , I mean that you have good control over it.Only then can you use it efficiently. So a question may arise- How can you gain control over mind?
The answer is - BY PRACTISE. Practise what?
Practising to think and analyse.Well this can be done in many ways. You can start solving nonverbal and verbal reasoning questions as many as possible. This should definitely help you.In the begining you wont progress much because the questions may appear new and vague , but gradually when you start solving many question you will at some point notice pronounced change in your thinking. You can also solve as many as puzzles or take up many IQ tests possible.Don't get dejected at your initial scores. You will see the improvement slowly.
It was a belief that neurons in the brain stop dividing after a particular age, but recent findings have proved that statement to be false. They have discovered that neurons also divide which means there is nothing already standardized. The more you use your brain the more it grows - this phenomenon is called as Neural Plasticity. This is unique in only few beings and we are lucky to be in that list!!
Concentration forms the base for utilising your brain power. You need to develop immense concentration power to succeed in life. But how do you develop concentration? You know the answer ? Its again by concentration!! Yes , you must concentrate on keeping your mind away from any kind of thought. This is given a name - Meditation. When you can keep your mind away from thought atleast for few minutes you can achieve great things in life. This may sound very easy. Now close your eyes for few minutes and abruptly stop thinking? There you are some thought should have obviously crept into your mind. So by concentrating to keep thoughts away you are channelizind your mind and getting it under you control. Once you have achieved some control over your mind , you can easily concentrate on any aspect you want and check you mind form vacillating thoughts. Then you will be its master and it will obey your orders!
Do you know that only 10% of the brain has been discovered by science till date! The rest is still a secret and I strongly believe that brain can't can completely fathomed into because science has its own limitations. In hindu mythology sanyasis had complete control over their mind. The vedas are living proof for this. They could find out many thing even without physical experimentation. It was purely because of concentration. It is said that brain is infinite and all the peripheries are set only by human beings.
Human beings have stopped using much of their brian because they have become slaves to modern electronic gadgets like calculators , digital diaries etc.. They dont use their brain where it must be used because of sheer negligence and adoption of a carefree notion that the work they are doing is very trivial and wont reqiure much thinking , so why dont we resort to electronic gadget that performs the function readily for us. This wont appear to be a big mistake but we dont realize the fact that we are committing a grave mistake by stalling our thinking power.
Brain is there for you to think as you want, so you must start using it the way you want.Keeping in your mind that the is no other stealthy way to unravel secrets of nature and this can't be achieved overnignt , this requires strong determination and constant practice even though you may face preliminary failures. All the best.

How many times you tell the same thing? Are you confidently know that you are utilising your brain properly??!?!?!?!
Are you reading books related to all fields?
Have you finished reading all the books in a library ?
Ask honestly to your heart ....
Have enriched in expressing the talents of yourself?
Have you participated in cultural competions & science quizes?
Have you done even a single project individually ?
Then how can you say that you are not reaching the goal properly ?
Think Think Think .......

The "typical" human uses only 10% of brain "power"; even Einstein and Hawkings.
Many philosophers (and others) would love to increase their brain power - sorry we don't know how yet.
Try concentrating a little bit more, and trying to really understand the underlying principles of those things you're most interested in.
Good luck!

Hah... keep in mind mate, techniques is the main greater element interior the finished international. Even earlier your start, it learns all issues to guard you while choose be. techniques right now learns each and all of the sturdy and undesirable issues in existence and it has a definite tolerance point to each and each element. notwithstanding in case you have a tendency to pay interest extra on damaging/anti social issues and in case you rejoice with doing all of them, after a definite element in time (may be after 5 months, 5 years or 50 years), your techniques will replace into insupportable to those and could initiate shifting you in the direction of sturdy issues. So notwithstanding if your techniques behaves like your enemy it is conscious while to end that and alter into your pal.
