I experienced this difference when i visited kerala sometime back, i felt that people towards the south kerala were more professionally forward, however, the family values were revolving around how much money you earn, the status of wealth in your family, parents even took leave to educate the children and the competition was high, however in north kerala like ernakulam, it was calm and peaceful, people were not concerned about wealth status and people dont keep judging you with respect to how much money you have....i was surprised, infact disgusted with the attitudes in trivandrum.

I dont see your point and frankly....... i find it pointless. Everybody got different attitudes around the world. And if we are basically gonna be noting that.... we are only gonna be disgusted. I would just like to say this... Kerala is very different from other parts of India, they are very proud of their literacy rate. And infact Trivandrum is filled with highly educated people and simple lifestyle. Whereas Ernakulam is a city with a totally different attitude towards life itself.
