Just wondering in popular bands like the Chili Peppers does the lead singer usualy get paid more or are proceeds shared equally?

It depends on the band. Nirvana and I think Led Zepplin had a credits formula. This included writing and instrumental credits.

I have been with a lot of bands and it went like this: if a group of people got together and formed the band ie: "The Band with Jim lead singer, Joe on guitar etc everyone shared equally. When I formed the band an hired musicians ie: "Jim and his Jam Band" I got more money cause I did most of the work (booking, schedules etc)

well it all depends on the band...on their mangers and all. but usally the main gutarists, singers and MAIN band players get paid equally and then the backup singers get paid alot less. it all just depends.
