Yes of course he was misquoted, you expect something more of this government propaganda machine we call the media in the US?
Oh and he did not have a conference to disprove the Holocaust, it was to question the validity of the zionists claim that 6 millions jews were killed. The zionists refuse to acknowledge that the Holocaust was a horrible tradegy for others as well. It wasnt all about them.

Iran: Israel should be wiped off map
President Ahmadinejad: Establishment of Israel offensive move; Islamic nation will not let its historic enemy live in its midst
The State of Israel should be wiped off the map, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Wednesday, underscoring Teheran’s extreme attitude towards the Jewish State.
The Iranian leader's remarks were made during a convention entitled "A World Without Zionists."
Western diplomat says Iran made commitment to Syria to provide Iranian technical assistance to facilitate Syria's chemical warfare program
“The establishment of the State of Israel was an offensive move. The Islamic nation will not let its historic enemy live in its midst,” he said.

and here's what Anji said the other day to this question:

I'll believe Al Jazeera first. They at least know the language, and say that Ahmadinejad was AGREEING with the statement made years before by Khomeini.

It seems to me to be ridiculous to give the benefit of the doubt based on translation to a person who is funding terrorist attacks against Israel. Actions speak louder than words.

exactly. the media was promoting what they wanted you to think. american media is not very good, they count on you to blindly believe and never research. all the BS between bush and ahmadinejad is political posturing. ahmadinejan lacks the power to do it anyway. not to mention iran has no nukes.
