The keys on mobile are up to down in order while those on calculator are down to up.....? Why is this so...?

With one, you usually use your index finger, with the other, your thumb.

Interesting question! Could the reason lie in the fact that cellphone keys are mostly pressed using the thumb, whereas the calculator keys are pressed using the index finger???

Ten key is taught for accounting and data entry, dialpads were invented for more common folk to dial a phone. I guess when they changed over to a dial pad from rotary they thought that it would make sense to place the numbers in chronological order in the same format we read in...left to right.

I never noticed that before... hhhmmm it's probably a scientific reason. Unless they just decided to do it that way for no apparent reason...
