I know this is pretty common, but I had to ask...

Last month (December) I started on the 1st, and ended on the 8th. Then cut to CHRISTMAS EVE!... I started again, and ended on the 31st.

I've had my period since I was 11 years old (i'm 21 now), and ever since I had sex 2 years ago my periods have been regular. The LAST time this ever happened was when I first started! I'm usually 5-7 days, first 2 days are heavy, then the rest 3-4 days are moderate to light. Then 19-23 days in between.

I know this is pretty common among other women, so I just had to ask a through question about my particular issue.

For me it depends on the length of the month. Like if its December i could get a period at the beginning and then start my January period on December 31. Depends on when you start and how long your times in between are. It is possible to have to periods in one month. hope i helped you.

I'm not sure why this happens but in December and January, if my period will be irregular at all, it'll be during those two months. Starting in December 2005 and continuing into January 2006, I got my period every two weeks (one week on, one week off, etc). This past December I got it earlier than expected (by about a week), which made my January period come a week early. I don't know why but it always seems to happen like that and then goes back to normal. Maybe it's holiday stress...

well there may be lots of reasons for this. have you been streesed recently? have you lost or gained any weight? many reason could be behind this but just to make sure you mgiht want o go to a gyn to see if there is anythign wrong and even though the chance of that is slight its always a good idea to get checked up on.

Everyone's cycle is different. Different factors can determine this too though, just starting on birth control pills, coming off of them, stress, stuff like that. So if this is not normal for you and you haven't started any pills or haven't been under stress than I'd call a doctor.
