I live in a fairly old house.My bathroom walls,when it is cold outide will sweat.I know there is no leaking plumbing.Though this information may help with anyone that will know what the problem is and how I can fix it.In the bathroom I know there is a chimney that has been boxed in.The house sit on clay ground.Only when it is cold outside will the walls sweat.Is there any solution for this or should I not even worry about it?

Sounds like you need insulation in the walls. No reason for walls to "sweat" unless there is no insulation. Ventilation will help remove the moisture, but will only mask the problem if the walls are not well insulated. Take the moulding off around the window or remove a receptacle cover in the outside wall and peek in to see if there is any insulation. Even if you see some, it doesn't sound like it's enough. not enough ventilation. put in an exhaust fan. insulation will only hold it in and lead to mold and mildew inside the walls. it is like your glass of iced tea in the summertime, the moisture in the air condenses on the cold surface. after you vent the bathroom, then consider insulating. good luck, hope this helps!
