Just by a new CD player everything out there is gonna play AAC +. Otherwise go pick the tune in itunes and then choose export or convert to MP3. It will duplicate the tune and just drag into your burn folder and reburn in MP3 format.

The simplest problem you could try to fix would be in iTunes to go to edit > Preferences > advanced> then click the burning tab. Be sure you are burning an "audio CD" and not an "mp3 cd"

Something else Id try is to try burning on a regular cd-r instead of a cd-rw.

If those dont work, then keep in mind that some cd players and cd boomboxes simply wont play cd-r's or cd-rws.
