It is really sad that we Indians have ignored our culture and are following western culture. I think one reason which has contributed to this is that elders told us what to do without telling the reason for it- so we have not understood the benifits of it and have gone astray.

Hmm...maybe because your 'great and superior' culture condones the condemnation of women, girl babies are hated, killed, or aborted before they even get a shot at life, women are considered outcasts, worthless, etc. when they cannot produce a boy baby. Your culture puts so much emphasis on the male species that it's going to be the downfall of your culture.

It is a sine wave. Once upon a time people were coming to India and asia in search of resources. Now we are in the down period. But human mind easily gets attracted to bad things first from others. Good things enter very slowly. Hence the whole world is becoming a materialistic world, Indians are also no exception to that.

The western culture easy to follow, the way they see it's Lot's of fun, party time etc...
Main thing is people wants new thing and if they see new things like western culture they will adopted immediately.

If you heard that story that King told his son that "son open all the rooms but don't open the 13th one" what prince did he opened The 13th room first and the story start with his trouble.

That's the same nature what we don't see everyday but suddenly we see those things and we get adopted quickly and get into the trouble like prince.

Thanks guys
With Best Regards

It's sad but people believe material objects will bring happiness. They see the west has gameboys, big houses, lots of money, dvd players, and the list goes on and on. they see no monitary gain from religion; and death seems like it will never arrive for them. They want things now. And what does it get them? Fast food ruins their diet and health. Watching tv all day and playing video games means less exercise. And getting the big house and all the stuff means more work. This "material world" exists, to make people forget about spiritual matters. People can use material things, for spiritual good. Sadly, most people don't. The young people are brainwashed into believing they have to have lots of stuff. America has lots of stuff, so they believe to get stuff, they have to adopt the American culture and way of life. Thank you for letting me answer your question.

Cause, we are disillusioned by the western culture and cannot
visualise the greatness of our own culture. We need to learn more about our culture and the precise scientific foundation on which it stands to accept it wholeheartedly.
