Yes it is normal. I've been on BCs for about two years. I used to start the day I went on the placebo pills...now I don't start until 2-4 days after I am on the placebos. Your periods should be lighter, shorter, and less of a hassle. But if you are concerned see your doctor...maybe a switch in the type of BC could help you regain what you feel is a normal cycle.

Its perfectly normal to have periods shorten the longer you're on the pill. You're not ovulating, so your uterine lining isn't building up to the thickness it would otherwise, and your body isn't preparing for pregnancy, so your periods lighten more and more. At one point (when I was much younger), I had a period that was only 2-3 days every month and most of that was so light I could use a panty liner only.

because of the fact start administration does not take care of you from STDs. purely a condom can try this. that's great that your gf is on start administration, as you're mind-blowing approximately it being extra powerful against being pregnant. notwithstanding if oral start administration and different contraceptives, such because of the fact the start administration rings and photographs, do not take care of you or her from STDs. Pulling out/retreating (notwithstanding you elect to call it) is likewise for the prevention of being pregnant, not STDs. the only time that's risk-free to not use condoms is while the two one among you're monogamous and the two one among you have these days been checked for STDs and HIV/AIDS, and had damaging consequences for sure. notwithstanding in case you recognize you and your significant different have been monogamous, you may desire to the two be examined each and every 6 months just to confirm. keep in mind which you do not might desire to have intercourse to get HIV/AIDS, and the final element you elect to do is supply your significant different an STD.
