Depends on what style of player:

Fundamentals: Tim Duncan
Flashy: Kobe or Wade
Raw Skill: Lebron
Best Shooter: Ray Allen
Best court vision: Steve Nash

Put all those players together, and you get the all time best:
Michael Jordan

Kobe Bryant is very skilled, but I don't care for him as a human being. LeBron James is the most talented, and is probably a year or two away from being the best player in the game. Elton Brand is the most underrated, along with Shawn Marion. If I had to start a team from scratch, though, I'd take Steve Nash. He makes everyone around him better.

Kobe Bryant is the most talented player in the NBA in my opinion.. but he doesnt make his team a championship contending team.. Steve Nash is the player who makes his team the best.. if Nash was on the Lakers instead of Kobe.. their team would be better than they are now..

If Kobe played last year in the worlds Greece wouldn't have kicked our butts. Lebron James didn't do squat in there.

Kobe ? ... no doubt he is one hell of a shooter but on the other hand. There is no BEST NBA PLAYER ... there are a lot of them. Nash, Lebron, Arenas, Dirk, Brand,MJ, Chamberlain, Dr J, VC, Wade, T-Mac , Carmelo, Iverson, ..... etc ...

DIRK NOWITZKI!

How many 7 footer can dribble that well, shoot 3 pointers like he does and have such a great free throw percentage?

Plus, right now, his team is rocking the house!!!

I think Arenas and Lebron James are always great players
