You brought up a great point about him being 80% defense and 20% offense. That is why he gets the rap he gets about not being a great player. The problem with the Cavs is that they don't have enough consistent scorers and Snow does nothing to help that. Now-a-days, teams that win championships tend to have at LEAST two dominant players and one player who CAN dominate. Miami--Shaq, Wade, with Haslem and Walker playing the third role. San Antonio--Duncan, Parker, and Ginobli. The Cavs have James and then there is a problem with consistency of Hughes, Snow, Verajao, and Gooden. Hughes was a much bigger part of the offense in Washington and Gooden can be studly at times, but can fall of the map completely as well. If Hughes and Gooden start scoring 20 points per game consistently, all the talk of Eric Snow would subside. Most likely though, he will be shopped around for another possible piece of the puzzle.

I too live in the Cleveland area, like you I hear the same BS about Snow. The Cavs donot need another scorer, infact Snow brings several intangibals to the team, ie: veteran experiance, never whines, does not need to score to be happy, plays great defense. There is only 1 basketball on the floor, the cavs need time and experiance to develop into a great NBA team. Nothing else, they have talent, depth, speed and size.

I don't think Snow as an individual player is the real problem. What happens with the Cavaliers is that they have no bench. When they take on teams like Phoenix or Dallas whose bench can control the game, it's pretty tough for them.
But I agree, Eric Snow is a pretty good point guard. He's a good defender and well, playing with Jame is about the same as playing with Iverson: your numbers can't be that high!

Give James another year or two, then you will be happy in Cleveland. Experience is the only thing holding the team back right now.

I agree that he gets a bad rap. He plays the point well, but not being a threat to score hurts him. If Larry Hughes would step his game up, it would be less of an issue.
