My mates goin New york..like next month? so ive asked him to get me some clothes (mainly American Football Jerseys and Basketball jerseys) My mum said the sizes will be very different so i should know what sizes to get before he goes. In england sizes im an Extra large mens anyone know what this trnaslates to in american sizes?

Well, you being a young man will find clothing shopping in the USA much easier than it is for women!

First go to an American clothing website. Try Macy's or Nordstrom's websites. Click over to their size charts for men and young men. Compare the measurements on those USA websites to those for UK clothing sellers.

Most of the US clothing you are looking for are sized Small, Medium, Large, Extra Large on up.

The measurement charts are the way to find your size equivielent.

the american extra large is the same as the english extra large x

They're roughly the same, but tell him to go up one size for you just in case.

actually mens shirts are the same size as america. if your a xl then you will take that size in america also.
