No matter how many i squat, another one pops up soon after. Sometimes i squat several in a day, sometimes days go by without seeing one. there are no plants in the living room where they appear.
Apart from fly paper, what can be used to stop them. they are small, usually 1mm in length and really annoying, especially when eating, as they gravitate towards the food

What works properly is BLEACH. Get a plastic spray bottle and fill it with BLEACH. cover the section decrease than and verify there's no longer something around that bleach might fade, like outfits and such. Spray your chandelier, mirrors, glass, and so on. and circulate away the BLEACH on the floor. this would possibly not purely kill the bugs, although that's going to be a detract-ant for the flies. don't have your infant interior the instant section once you be conscious the bleach. then back, bleach isn't comparable to risky chemical components, yet you do no longer choose to GET IT at as quickly as on your infant the two. as quickly as the BLEACH is sprayed and the droplets have FALLEN, you and your loved ones would be fantastic! save your infant from that particular section for some week, then spray down an identical chandelier and section with water that has a pair drops of dish washing cleansing soap in it. Wipe sparkling and you're as solid as new. you elect to maintain the BLEACH on the floor as a detract-ant for some week. they gets THE hint and not choose to return.

Sounds like fruit flies. You need to not keep any fruit or vegetables out in the open- store in the refrigerator.

Sometimes houseplants can also breed them. Get insecticide for houseplants from your garden center.

It could also be a small fly that breeds in the overflow trap of your sink (common in bathroom sinks). Treat the overflow traps with bug poison, or if you have a steamer, blast steam down the trap every time you clean. That will kill 'em.

What you are describing seems to be gnats. Usually if you have some banana's sitting out, that are a bit ripe, or some other kind of food sitting out that is about to go bad, then you get the gnats. I recommend refrigerating everything, cleaning up the kitchen a bit, and if that does not work, call an exterminator.

You need to get rid of whatever is calling to them. Usually it's fruit or other vegetative material left out in the open. Get rid of that, and the flies will be gone within a day.

the common house fly is an annoyance for most people. keeping all food and put up, and keeping trash cans emptied or covered usually keeps them down, but fly-paper hung in out of sight locations such as under the kitchen sink, in the garage, and around any exterior trash cans will keep them down, but not eliminate them. even the cleanest of homes has fly problems, though keeping a house clean usually helps keep them down.

Use Raid! You would spray it everywhere in your house, but you can't breathe it in so you have to step out for a couple or more hours. It should get rid of the flies and whatever else may be in your house... bug wise.

Start going inspector Sherlock on them. There has to be food, for any part of nature to come in your house.
Your main task is to find the answer to..."what are they feeding on in my house?".
Remember... they don't need much to eat. If you don't clean up, they will.

you need to wash the trash cans with clorox, sweep and mop your home with clorox. then bomb your house with those raid bombs. put all fruits away. Do you have a baby? the pampers will draw them in, throw out pampers asap. Good luck

Quit over-watering your house plants. They are breeding in the standing water every 24 hours.
