it's based on the egyptian legend story of the egyptian gods Osiris, Isis and Seth.

I think it's a fiction book. I read it in around 1992-1995 and the book already looked quite yellow and old. it was a soft cover book, around the size of most fiction paperbacks.

main characters of the book - Osiris, Isis, Seth (can't remember much). part of the story talked about how Osiris was killed and dismembered or sth like that.

but i remember clearly that the story ends on the last page with the description of Isis holding a Sceptre.

Please help if you know/have read the book before! Title and author of book please. Thanks!!

I'm not sure about a specific book, but that is a very common ancient Egyptian myth and could probably be found in another book. Good luck researching.

Sorry--I do not. I've read contemporary books that reference the legend, though. "Her Kind of Trouble" by Evelyn Vaughn, for example, and the entire early "Amelia Peabody" books by Elizabeth Peters, in which the bad guy from book 2 on is actually named "Sethos." :-)

"Her type of hardship" by using Evelyn Vaughn, as an celebration, and the entire early "Amelia Peabody" books by using Elizabeth Peters, in which the undesirable guy from e book 2 on interior of reason named "Sethos." :-)
