I recently got a Samsung C417 phone with Bluetooth and I thought this meant I could sync the address book with my mac but it doesn't work. Are there different kinds of Bluetooth? For example some only work with a headset, but others will sync with a computer? Any recommendations on a Bluetooth phone that will sync with a Mac? (aside from the $$ new iphone).
Thanks!

I am currently using the MacBook (running on Mac OS X of course) and all 5 mobile phones of mine; Motorola V3, V3i, Nokia 7610 & Sony Ericsson K700i, Sony Ericsson W800i) will sync its address book seamless & efficiently with mine (I have not tried my BlackBerry Pearl 8100 though, but I reckon it should work because a coursemate of mine uses PowerBook during clinical demos & I was bored one day, so I just searched all the discoverable bluetooth users in the lecture theatre and I found hers!). The coolest bit is when i synced the Motorola V3, the actual picture & precise colour of the phone appeared! I was quite impressed with that! But to answer your first question, I am pretty sure Mac has no compatibility issues with bluetooth devices, however I have been hearing that Samsung bluetooth technology is slightly inferior compared to its competitors. So they can be quite dodgy...
